WordPress 3.0 Review

After a long-awaited, last on June 17, 2010 was officially released WordPress blogging software in his latest. WordPress 3.0 was given the name “Thelonious” and is the thirteenth version of the software launched by WordPress.

In accordance with the schedule already determined should have this software has been released in late May. But remember there are still many errors (bugs) that have not been repaired, with the WordPress developers were forced to change schedules.

WordPress 3.0 is believed to have better performance than the previous version. There were several changes made in this version include bug fixes 1217 undertaken by the programmer 218 and the addition of several new features.

What are the new features brought by WordPress 3.0? Here are some new features in WordPress 3.0 which makes it even more desirable by its users.

User Registration

In earlier versions, the default username when the installation is the user “admin”. However, further proved this result in security vulnerabilities that can be easily exploited by crackers to break into sites created with the WordPress platform.

To reduce the security risk, WordPress no longer create the admin user automatically during the installation process. Instead, users are now given the freedom to choose a username and password that is felt more secure.
